My husband Bruce and I were faced with a big challenge when preparing for the sale of our home in Santa Cruz: What to do with all the furniture, household items, tools and just plain junk we had accumulated in fifteen years of living there was overwhelming! Every cabinet and closet shelf was so chock-full of stuff, we had no idea where to begin. Missy was able to enter our 'zone of chaos' and bring order to all the mess. She quickly moved things around and created clear categories of what we needed to sell, donate and recycle. There was surprisingly little to throw away as she is an expert at re-purposing. Many of our discarded items, things we never used, ended up at her wonderful SOS Shipwreck Shop. One person's junk is another person's treasure - turns out to be true. I can't imagine what we would have done without Missy's expertise. We were harried and frazzled in the process, and not only was she a competent professional but also a ray of sunshine. Missy Bregante is an amazing, organized, life-saving force! We had to empty our home in 15 days for a completed sale, and had 20 years of wonderful, loved stuff to ship to our new home, put into storage, and -- most difficult of all -- to say goodbye to. She helped us sort, she found homes for virtually everything so it had a new life as a donation or other life, and she added a level of calm, peaceful help and support during a pretty crazy and stressful time. She had ideas for every crazy task we came upon, and made things tidy, then empty and clean, all thru the process. She knew what we would need before we did, and even scheduled extra time to stay behind the day we moved. We cannot recommend her enough. She's a true gift.
